Description:
One Glendale Youth After School Sports Program is a partnership between the City of Glendale's Community Services & Parks Department and the Glendale Unified School District - providing free after-school co-ed sports (Flag Football, Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer) for 4th & 5th graders at eight different south Glendale Elementary schools. The goal of the program is to prevent childhood obesity, build self-esteem, teach leadership skills, and address classroom discipline, by providing after school recreation programming through organized sports.
